Here’s a Recipe for a Classic Margarita:
Time: 10 minutes
Makes: 4 servings
You’ll need:
- Rocks glasses
- Coarse salt
- 1 cup of tequila
- 2/3 cup of fresh lime juice
- 1/3 cup of orange-flavored liqueur
- 2 teaspoons of superfine sugar
- Ice
- Cocktail shaker
Directions:
- Rub the rim of the glasses with a lime and dip in coarse salt
- Fill glasses three-quarters of the way with ice
- Mix the following in a cocktail shaker: 1 cup of tequila, 2/3 cup of lime juice, 1/3 cup of orange liqueur and 2 teaspoons of superfine sugar
- Shake well
- Pour into glasses and garnish with a lime
- Enjoy!
For a tropical twist, try using orange juice and extra lime juice. Or you can add some blackberries and raspberries!
For a Frosty Twist, Try This Frozen Margarita Recipe:
Time: 10 minutes
Makes: 4 servings
You’ll need:
- Rocks glasses
- 1/3 cup of coarse salt
- 3/4 cup of tequila
- 2/3 cup of fresh lime juice
- 1/2 cup of simple syrup
- 5 cups of ice cups
- Lime wedges for garnish
- Cocktail shaker
Directions:
- Puree ice, tequila, lime juice and simple syrup in a blender until smooth.
- Rub the rims of the glasses with a lime and dip in coarse salt.
- Pour into glasses and garnish with a lime.
