Port Sanibel Marina rentals are your best bet if you want an Old Florida-style vacation out on the water. After all, getting in touch with Florida’s natural beauty is ideal if you’re visiting the Sunshine State to unwind.
Florida is home to otherworldly-seeming mangrove trees, which actually survive by sifting out up to 90 percent of the salt that’s found in the seawater as it flows into the mangroves’ roots. An interesting array of bird species also call Southwest Florida home. Additionally, the Sunshine State features favorite animals like manatees and dolphins. Both of them can be spotted in the water during a warm summer day.
If you want to spend most of your trip on the water and try and see some of Florida’s beloved wildlife, Royal Shell Port Sanibel Marina can certainly help make that happen.
Marina guests can rent boats, kayaks, canoes and paddleboards. If you want to experience the relaxing Southwest Florida fishing lifestyle, PortSanibel Marina also offers fishing charters for a day of fun out on the water.
Stylish Building. Sophisticated Boat Storage
Another thing that sets Port Sanibel Marina apart is its dry storage boat barn. The building itself is an architectural marvel. It features columns, 23 dormers and a 20-foot-diameter cupola. It boasts a stucco exterior and Bahama shutters. The dry storage boat barn is also the proud recipient of the prestigious BOY and Safety Star architecture construction awards.
Port Sanibel Marina houses your boat in style and provides legendary customer service whether you’re renting a kayak, canoe, paddleboard or boat, or just dining at the Lighthouse Restaurant. Whatever your needs, the marina’s friendly staff is happy to take care of you.
People ask “Where is Port Sanibel Marina?” The marina is in a prime location, located in close proximity to the Intracoastal Waterway (ICW) and the Gulf of Mexico.
Port Sanibel Marina is a full-service marina and can take care of all of your needs. It sits on the Southwestern tip of Lee County in the breathtaking Greater Fort Myers area. The best part is that Port Sanibel Marina is only a 20 drive from the Southwest Florida International Airport. It’s also just minutes away from idyllic Sanibel and Captiva Islands.
If you choose to rent a boat, kayak, canoe or paddleboard from Port Sanibel Marina, one of the greatest perks is its proximity to Sanibel Island, the Sanibel Island Causeway and the surrounding bays and waterways. The feeling of cruising out to the island through San Carlos Bay with the view of the Causeway in front of you is best described as “epic.” It’s breathtaking no matter what kind of vessel you’re piloting. If the weather is right, the bay will be dotted with kite surfers and their bright and colorful kiteboards. You won’t want to miss this great chance for a photo op!
If you are a Royal Shell Vacations guest, you are eligible for a special 30% discount on boat, canoe and kayak rentals.
If you want to take a break from the water, there’s also a mile-long nature trail through the mangroves. Florida Nature Trail
One of our favorite things about the nature trail is that it was carefully constructed so as not to impact the natural mangrove habitat. If you’re curious about the native birds, plants, fish and wildlife in the area, you can learn about it on the Port Sanibel Marina mile-long nature trail.
The 30- to 45-minute nature trail features a canopy provided by the mangrove trees and other fauna in the forest, providing a quiet, shady walk through a bit of old Florida.
Fort Myers Kayaking Trail
If kayaking is more your style or if it’s just something you’ve always wanted to try, there is a kayak trail that begins at Port Sanibel Marina and winds through the mangroves offering a chance to see manatees, dolphins, and other sea life in their natural habitat. Guided eco-tours with Larry’s Lagoon are also another way to enjoy the Florida nature and wilderness.
