Sanibel Island is a fisherman and fisherwoman’s paradise. There are a variety of places on the island where the fishing is lively, including the City Pier, the Causeway, the bays, and the beaches.
The Gulf of Mexico is ideal for snook, tarpon, redfish, shark, snapper, Florida pompano, and grouper. Many of our vacation rentals are on the water and have access to a dock. If you didn’t bring your own vessel, you can rent one from Port Sanibel Marina. Depending on where you’re staying, they’ll even deliver it to you!
For a backwater fishing trip, we recommend Adventures in Paradise in Port Sanibel Marina. After your fishing excursion, you could go back for sunset and afternoon dolphin cruises, eco-canoe tours, or one of their shelling and lunch excursions.
