If you’re flying into Fort Myers or flying into Sanibel, for example, Southwest Florida International Airport is the main airport for flying into Southwest Florida. The Lee County Port Authority operates the airport and it has introduced a comprehensive plan to make sure people flying in and out of Southwest Florida International Airport feel safe and comfortable.
Another option is to fly Allegiant Air into Punta Gorda. It’s about a 40-minute drive from the Punta Gorda Airport to Southwest Florida International in Fort Myers.
